General Operative (Paint)

Job Role:

The General Operative will play a key role in the Paint Department, supporting the efficient preparation, pre-inspection, and finishing of products. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing environment and a strong focus on quality, safety, and teamwork.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation Tasks:

  • Prepare parts and components for finishing processes, including cleaning, sanding, and masking as required.
  • Handle and transport materials and components safely and efficiently between workstations.

 

Assembly Tasks:

  • Assemble products or components according to technical drawings, instructions, or specifications.
  • Use hand and power tools accurately and safely.
  • Inspect assembled items to ensure quality and precision, addressing any defects.

 

Quality Assurance:

  • Monitor parts and products for defects, inconsistencies, or damage and report issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain high standards of quality throughout all production stages.

 

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving minor issues during the assembly process.
  • Provide support across other production areas when required.

 

Workplace Maintenance and Safety:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or hazards promptly.

 

Continuous Improvement:

  • Propose ideas to improve processes, efficiency, and workplace safety.
  • Participate in training sessions to build on existing skills and knowledge.

 

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or similar role.
  • Experience in working with technical drawings, tools, and equipment is essential.
  • Strong understanding of assembly processes and quality control practices.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Fluency in English essential
