Stores Operative

Job Role:

Responsible for the daily activities within the logistics function, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unload incoming goods and assist with stores operations as required.
  • Accurately manage and fulfil picking lists for production, ensuring attention to detail (e.g., correct size, colour, quantity).
  • Ensure all orders are accurate and completed promptly.
  • Operate equipment and machinery such as forklifts, reach pallet trucks, and boom lifts.
  • Assist in receiving deliveries, sorting, and storing goods appropriately.
  • Replenish stock and participate in regular stocktakes.
  • Maintain high health and safety standards in the workplace.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve and exceed planned KPIs for efficiency and performance.
  • Escalate any quality or production timing issues to your supervisor.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, including ISO standards, 5S housekeeping, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Report any accidents, near misses, or faulty equipment promptly.
  • Participate in training assigned by HR or management.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties in the stores/warehouse as required.

 

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or similar manual role within a manufacturing environment (essential).
  • Qualified forklift driver (advantageous; training will be provided).

 

Skills and Requirements:

  • Fluency in English (essential).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure order accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards.
