A structured workplace health and safety team backed by expert, professional third-party H&S support. A commitment from senior management to protect our people and deliver our work safely.
Our workplace Health and Safety management structure includes a health and safety committee, EHS co-ordinator, and health and safety officer. The safety committee meets monthly, reporters directly to the CEO and has specific goals:
In addition to our own internal health and safety committee and team, we also leverage the experience of external H&S professionals to support, guide and challenge our H&S protocols.
ARC Management provide support and guidance to our EHS co-ordinator and H&S officer, in addition to participating at H&S committee meetings.
ARC Management collaborate with the Keltech team to update, improve and enhance H&S documentation.
Lansdowne Safety Solutions complete third-party, expert inspections and auditing, with detailed actions and follow-ups.
Including noise surveys completed by Allegro Acoustics and air quality surveys by Wright Environmental.
A fundamental element of our Health & Safety process is the implementation of detailed risk assessment documentation. Updated on an annual basis and available for inspection as required, our risk assessments are carefully drafted in collaboration with a third-party EHS consultant. This professional external expertise ensures the integrity of the assessments and that they are prepared in line with best practice.
Our well-established incident reporting procedure features four distinct stages, each with specific goals.
Any first aid or medical requirements are safely administered, and the incident information is recorded.
Determine the cause of the incident, identify any underlying issues, and inform senior management of the recommended corrective action.
Depending on the nature of the incident, notification of the Health & Safety Authority.
Implementation of the required corrective actions, including monitoring the impact of the actions.
Over the past number of years we’ve significantly invested in our production facility. Part of this transformation is the continued enhancement of our automation capability, serving to improve production efficiencies while also further protecting our people.
On completion, a current ongoing large-scale welding project will address the traditional risks associated with metal fabrication, including welding fume exposure, arc light exposure, manual handling, and manual buffing and grinding.
Our automation capacity will continue to expand at Keltech. We have ambitious plans for an automated loading and unloading system for the robots, and to fully automate the sheet cutting process.
For us, it’s think safe, work safe, home safe. We need to protect our people, giving them the environment to safely and confidently go about their work every day.
